Who am I?

‍I'm Chloé Fontfreyde, an agricultural engineer specializing in the sustainable development of agricultural sectors in 2016, I created OpaO and launched myself as an entrepreneur 6 years later, ready for new challenges.

Against the backdrop of the current crisis in New Caledonia, I offer support to agricultural businesses and cooperatives in difficulty, as well as assistance with restructuring agricultural sectors: distribution and marketing of local produce.

Before setting up OpaO, I had accumulated a wealth of professional experience, first with the cooperative society Tero en Hexagone, a design office certified as an "entreprise solidaire d'utilité sociale", of which I remained a member.

Then at the Groupement de Défense Sanitaire Animale and finally in the sustainable development department of the New Caledonian Chamber of Agriculture and Fisheries. These experiences made me versatile and contributed to my expertise in the field of agriculture & environment.

My goal: Results in selected projects for greater impact.

My experience

After initial training at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Agronomie et des Industries Alimentaires (Ensaia), I invested in several professional training courses to develop my skills and a professional approach geared towards service and effective communication.

Professional training :

My experience and training give me the ability to generate positive results in my field. I always work in close collaboration with local and industry players, and I believe in collective intelligence. Solutions come from those who experiment on a daily basis, when worlds manage to dialogue.

What sets me apart is the commitment I bring to my work, and my focus on results.

I'm naturally committed. I've been giving my time and energy to various associations for many years. With Opao, the associations and professional organizations in the agriculture & environment sector that I support benefit from a preferential rate. Because I'm convinced that these players have an impact on the ground.

Did you know? OpaO was the name given to northern New Caledonia by Pacific navigators.

The name speaks to me: born in La Réunion, I grew up in New Caledonia and returned there after several years of study and experience in Lyon, Nancy, Côte d'Ivoire, Benin, Guatemala and Canada.
